What this site holds, and where

Last updated October 9, 2026. Targetread is operated by [[ENTITY NEEDED]]. Questions, copies and deletions: [[CONTACT EMAIL NEEDED]].

The free readout

The address you paste goes to this site's readout function, which asks GitHub's public API three questions about that repository and returns the answers to your browser. The answers are not stored. Your IP address is held in the running function's memory for one minute, to limit each address to ten readouts a minute, and is then forgotten. When GitHub fails to answer, the repository's owner and name are written to the server log with the error, and the hosting provider, Vercel, keeps that log for its standard period.

Your browser keeps the last readout in its session storage so the order form can carry it. It disappears when you close the tab, and this site never reads it back.

An order

When you pay, the order form's fields travel to Stripe as the checkout's metadata: the repository, the access method, the band, the line count, your deadline, the email the memo goes to, your company, and the readout's SHA-256 fingerprint. Stripe holds them with the payment, under Stripe's own privacy policy. Your card goes to Stripe alone; this site never sees it. The order page reads the order back from Stripe each time it opens and keeps no copy.

Once Stripe marks the payment paid, this site sends two emails through Resend, one to the desk and one to the address you gave, naming the order, the clock and the access step. Resend processes those addresses to deliver the mail.

The code you give the desk

If you invite the desk as a collaborator, the code stays on GitHub and the desk reads it there; remove the invitation any time after the memo arrives. If you send a zip, it is stored privately in Vercel Blob under your order's id, readable only with the desk's key. The desk's working copy of the code, and the zip, are deleted [[RETENTION DAYS NEEDED]] days after the memo is delivered. The memo itself is kept for the same period so the desk can answer questions about it, then deleted, unless you ask for earlier deletion.

What this site does not do

No cookies. No analytics. No advertising trackers. No account to create. Nothing on these pages is sold or shared beyond Stripe, Resend and Vercel, each doing the one job named above.

Your requests

Write to [[CONTACT EMAIL NEEDED]] for a copy of what the desk holds about your order, or to have it deleted. Stripe's payment record is kept as long as the law requires a business to keep one, and the desk will tell you which parts that covers.
